cup of hot bevarage with a syrup waffle (Dutch ‘Stroopwafel’)
Prepare your own mug of tea, hot chocolate, coffee or any hot drink. Make sure you use an appropriate mug, with a not too large opening. While your drink is brewing in the hot water, or just while you’re coming out from the kitchen to your place, leave the stroopwafel as a lid to your mug. Allow it to seat there for 3 to 5 minutes. The hot steam should soften up your cookie, sort of slightly melting the syrup, so it gets nice and fudgy. Enjoy your stroopwafel while still warm from the steam & enjoy a good hot cup of tea, coffee, hot coco or any other hot beverage. The cookie should work as a wonderful heat keeper, while you’re not ready to drink it.
